Arm Lift
Maybe you’ve noticed sagging tissues of the upper arms, especially when you raise them over your head. This appearance is caused by extra skin, fatty tissue under the skin, or a combination of the two, within the upper arm.
The Procedure
An upper arm lift, or brachioplasty, involves the surgical removal of this excess tissue, sometimes with liposuction of the arms at the same time. As with many areas of plastic surgery, you can expect improved shape of the arm at the expense of a scar, which is typically placed either in the armpit or hidden along the inside of the upper arm. Arm lifts are typically performed at our Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery outpatient facility.
