Contact Us- Breast DIEP Flap Reconstruction
Woman with a left side breast cancer and BRCA1 genetic mutation. She underwent bilateral mastectomies. Dr. Hubert performed DIEP flap reconstruction for both breasts at the same time. While she did not require radiation, she developed lymphedema of her left arm due to removal of lymph nodes with her mastectomy. She declined tattoo for the areolas.
