Contact Us- Breast DIEP Flap Reconstruction
Dr. Hubert’s patient is a 65-year-old woman with breast cancer in her left breast. She initially had tissue expander reconstruction at the time of her left mastectomy, which was followed by radiation. Her “before” picture was taken after the radiation treatment was completed. Dr. Hubert then removed the tissue expander from the left and replaced it with healthy, non-radiated tissue in the form of a DIEP flap. A breast lift (mastopexy) was performed on the right for better balance. She declined nipple reconstruction on the left. As you can see, she has a nice and more symmetrical result after her DIEP flap breast reconstruction by Dr. Hubert.
