Contact Us- Breast DIEP Flap Reconstruction
When this woman was diagnosed with a BRCA2 genetic mutation, she decided to have bilateral prophylactic mastectomies. Dr. Hubert performed immediate DIEP flap breast reconstruction at the same time. Since she did not have significant sagging of the breasts before surgery, she was a good candidate for preservation of her nipples. Dr. Hubert revised her breasts with a second operation, this time as an outpatient, to make them a little smaller and better proportioned to her body.
